Ambode grieves demise of previous Lagos Deputy Governor, Jafojo

In an announcement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the representative, Mr Habib Aruna, Ambode portrayed Jafojo's demise as an awesome misfortune to the state.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jafojo, who was agent senator amid the organization of Alhaji Lateef Jakande, kicked the bucket on Saturday in his Lagos living arrangement at 80 years old.

As indicated by the announcement, Jafojo's commitment to the advancement of the state won't be overlooked in a rush.

``Alhaji Jafojo was a vital part of an organization amid the Second Republic that has been broadly hailed crosswise over Nigeria for accomplishing a few developments which are as yet being made reference to.

``He was a keen legislator who was exceptionally faithful to the advancement of the state.

``Together with Alhaji Lateef Jakande, they shaped a solid organization and set the format for this improvement ,'' the announcement cited Ambode as saying.

He said, `` Jafojo, regardless of his age, kept on contributing his share to the improvement of the state.

``On sake of the administration and great individuals of Lagos State, I need to express our genuine sympathy to the group of Alhaji Jafojo on this awesome and hopeless misfortune.

``He most likely paid his contribution and Lagosians will never forget him

``The State Government under my organization will keep on ensuring that the goals he proliferated while alive will keep on being maintained and enhanced,'' Ambode said.
