One-year-old girl shot in eye by BB gun on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS : Police are investigating an incident where a child was injured by a shot fired from a BB gun. The one-year-old girl was treated for an injury just below her eye after she was shot around 5:45 p.m.
Monday in the 3300 block of North Tara Lane near 33rd and Moller Road. The girl was taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

An IMPD report says a teen was playing with a BB gun when the smaller child was struck.

Police believe the suspect is a 16-year-old boy. No arrests have been made.
