Kwara State Government has released N1.2 billion for the payment of teachers’ salaries, even as Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed approved a five-man panel of enquiry to probe alleged irregular mass recruitment in the state
Teaching Service Commission.
The money released for the teachers’ salaries was higher than the N706,131,293.13 released in June by N160 million.
Governor Ahmed announced this during an interaction with local government chairmen, their treasurers, labour leaders and top government officials
This latest development however motivate people of neighbouring states to start raising placard with different inscriptions pointing to their Governors to also make a move about their payment.
