The National Coordinator of Yoruba Youth Coalition, Mr. Jackson Olalekan-Ojo, has asked the President of the Senate, Dr, Bukola Saraki, to resign following the allegations against him and his tribulation by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Olalekan-Ojo, who verbally expressed this in a telephone interview with
one of our correspondents in Osogbo verbally expressed Saraki ought to have resigned in lieu of fighting desperately to scuttle his tribulation.
The coordinator of the youth group, verbally expressed that he initially thought Saraki was being victimised because of the way he emerged as the President of the Senate but verbally expressed unfolding revelations had shown that he had questions to answer.
He verbalized, “It is saddening to aurally perceive people verbally expressing that Saraki’s ordeal or predicament is a political witch-hunt or victimisation, anyway it may not be too far from all these but the fact remains that Saraki went to equity with dirty hands.
“Honestly, Saraki is no longer qualified to be Nigerian number three denizen again as I joined millions of people across the country to authoritatively mandate him to resign as our Senate President.
“Victimisation or not, the question is; did Saraki commit the offence or not? If not for few members of the Senate, I would have refer to the Eight Senate as a bunch of kleptomaniac bellwethers.”
According to him, the questions on the integrity of Saraki will be a dent on the anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari, verbally expressing Saraki should emulate intrepid bellwethers in other climes and resign his position.
Withal, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dr. Bayo Orire, has advised Saraki to resign from his position.
He additionally commended a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for liberating the South-West from political bondage.
Addressing journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the governorship aspirant verbalized, “Saraki should humbly resign if he is not unblushing. Some people mentioned in the Panama Papers scam have resigned. He should resign.”
Orire withal criticised Governor Ayodele Fayose for embarking on the construction of a 1.2 km flyover in Ado Ekiti worth N5.7bn while workers were being owed four months’ salaries.
He lamented that the environment in Ekiti had become bellicose for investors due to the “bad posture of the governor.”
“Running an extemporaneous governance, he cerebrates he would be recollected for planting a bridge – the first in Ekiti State; but he has forgotten the hundreds of edifiers dying of hunger because of non-payment of salaries, the poor Ekiti man who live on less than N100 per day; he has to treat them to a N5.7bn bridge for a less than 1.2km flyover,” he verbally expressed.
Orire described Tinubu as a pacesetter in the Nigerian political field, a ground breaker, a visible world figure and an international kingmaker.
“The South-West is having an incipient life, an incipient breather, kudos to his statesmanship and political sagacity.
The Yoruba nation is now proud and ambulating tall.
“We need to follow this man; we require to complement his efforts, we require to work with him to establish a modern Yoruba with civility and resplendency, we require to get in the train to establish and sustain this dream. We require to enhearten this man of vision.”
