First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Tuesday visited 7-month-old 'Baby Favour' who was rescued earlier in the day after the collapse of a building in Huruma.
The first lady had visited the hospital comforting those who survived after a building
collapsed in Huruma on Friday night.
There were celebrations 'baby Favour' was rescued from rubble four days after the tragedy.
A team that was abstracting the rubble found the child emaciated on the first floor, early on Tuesday morning.
The child was found in a bucket wrapped in a blanket, Kenya Red Cross verbalized she appeared dehydrated and with no visible physical injuries.
'Baby Favour', who arrived exhausted and dehydrated has been stabilised and is now under the professional care of Kenyatta National Hospitals pediatric and alimentation team who have been working round the clock to preserve the lives of children who have been rescued from the tragedy.
Twenty three people have been reported dead and 136 rescued so far. Rescuers verbally expressed they intend to clear the rubble today.
Five people including officials from the National Construction Ascendancy, City Hall’s inspectorate department, an engineer in charge of the site and the two brothers who own the house will take plea on Wednesday of manslaughter over the tragedy.
