27 year old Scottish footballer Chris Mitchell has died at the age of 27 after he was hit and killed by a
train. The former Clyde, Falkirk and Queen of the South advocator died instantly as he was struck on Saturday afternoon May 7th by a moving train near Cornton, Stirling, Scotland.
He retired from football four months ago to take on an incipient job but now his former club Clyde have substantiated that a minute's silence will be held tomorrow afore Clyde's match against Queen's Park at Broadwood in accolade of the footballer.
Chris Mitchell is now the 4th footballer to die in the space of three days , may his soul Rest In Placidity.
A verbal expression relinquished by Clyde FC this afternoon verbally expressed: “Everyone connected with Clyde FC was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Chris Mitchell, at the age of just 27, this weekend.
